Featherweight Wool Wrap in Dove Grey Marl
Beautifully light, soft and wonderfully fluid, our new Featherweight Wool Wrap is woven for us in Kashmir from 100% fine wool. Woven from an exceptionally fine 120-count wool yarn, it has an almost weightless feel and an elegant, delicate drape, warm enough to take the chill off, yet light enough to wear throughout the seasons.
Dove Grey Marl is a beautifully soft, understated neutral, with subtle variations through the yarn giving the colour a gentle, almost cloud-like depth. Softer than a classic grey, it has an elegant warmth that makes it incredibly easy to wear. Lovely with winter whites, camel, chocolate and navy, or layered tonally with other soft greys, it is a timeless colour that feels both relaxed and quietly luxurious.
Generously sized at approximately 100 x 200cm, it can be worn loosely around the shoulders as a wrap, folded and worn as a scarf, or tucked into a coat without any of the bulk of a heavier winter wool. The incredibly fine weave makes it particularly lovely for travelling, when you want something warm and enveloping that takes up almost no room in your bag.
Woven for us by our family-run artisan workshop in Srinagar, in the Kashmir Valley, where generations of textile knowledge are behind the beautifully soft handle and delicate finish. The workshop has been established since 1965 and continues to work on a small scale, using traditional weaving techniques.
A beautifully simple piece that feels quietly luxurious, and one of those useful layers you'll find yourself reaching for again and again.
