My 3 Holiday Heroes

You might think that with the whole Dilli Grey womenswear collection at my fingertips that I'd be packing the whole inventory for my summer holidays this month but actually the opposite is true. I tend to wear the same pieces TO DEATH - which is how I feel a lot of women are shopping these days - investing in things that aren't this season's 'must-have' but they can see themselves wearing again and again, throughout the year. I've put together three outfits that I will be packing for France with some ideas on how to style them... Bon Vacances!

I have been wearing this blue Amer dress ever since we sampled it nearly a year ago. The hand-block printing is some of the finest, most detailed work I've seen in 20 years working in India. Everything about these dresses is handmade - from the printing by our artisans in Amer (hence the name!) to the hand-stitching detail. The waist tie and bracelet-length sleeves makes it super-flattering and the cotton is so soft, it really is a dream to wear. The perfect everyday dress for the market, city seeing or casual al fresco lunches...

Each season we reimagine our kaftans in a new print and you have loved this season's Holi Cow design - I think it's my favourite too! Inspired by a vintage sari we sourced in Delhi, I re-coloured it in a modern blue and white, with a pop of yellow in the hand-tied tassels. It's such a great easy throw-on for the beach (we have a matching sarong and girl's kaftan too). I took my Dilli Grey x Bell & Fox blue macrame bag to Beruit with me in May and it's been a daily companion ever since - a great city shopper, it comes into its own on holiday for all the suncream, books, sunglasses and general 'stuff' I end up carrying around with me as the mother of two children!

With space at a premium - I tend to pack one of our kimonos and a boyfriend shirt, as they double as sleepwear and beachwear too. I'll wear my kimono around the pool over my swimsuit and our boyfriend shirts are great as an easy shirt dress with sandals and a dream to sleep in as they are the softest, lightest cotton voile. One of my journals will be coming with me as although I will be having a digital detox I need somewhere to write and draw each day.

I met the Psychic Sisters at the Wanderlust festival last weekend and bought one of their glass water bottles with a crystal core to keep me hydrated and infused with good vibes all holiday long!
