5 Nourishing reads for January
The New Year is the perfect time for quiet nourishment in my book - rather than tackling gruelling deprivation right in the deepest, darkest months of the year. Resetting your intentions, habits and looking ahead to your own personal goals, or hopes for 2022. So I thought I'd share some inspiring, nourishing reads below, from my favourite comfort food recipes to journals, and mindfulness practices...
I was thrilled to hold our Anthropologie x Dilli Grey launch at Jikoni's earlier this summer - a real highlight of 2021 for me - and Ravinder's book of the same name includes nourishing (for the body and soul) dishes - drawing inspiration from her multi-cultural heritage. Perfect food for adding warmth and colour to dark winter days.
The Anti-Burn Out Journal, Bex Spiller
Atlas of The Heart, Brene Brown
Long-time readers will know that I am deeply connected to all things Ayurvedic, Crystal, Celestial... and a little bit magic. I love this book for really getting to understand your auras, giving simple daily practices to help strengthen and nurture yours.
You are a Rainbow - Essential Auras, Emma Lucy Knowles
If you want to keep it simple in 2022, understanding the impact of our breath is about as fundamental as it comes. Filled with real, credible science to back up ancient wisdom of mindful breathing that feels accessible. A practice I intend to build into my daily life in the coming year.
Breath - The New Science of a Lost Art, James Nestor
