At Dilli Grey, our commitment to ethical fashion is deeply intertwined with the artisans who bring our designs to life. During our recent visit to Jaipur, we had the opportunity to explore their new factory and witness first hand the dedication and skill of our artisan partners. From the block printers to the checking ladies we are always greeted with such a warmth it definitely feels like a second home to us each and every time we visit.
Have you ever used a sewing machine?
My early pattern making began when I was 13, I would pull apart favourite clothing and remake them in new fabrics. It is soooo tricky to be precise and consistent.
Have you ever tried to insert an invisible zip? A tiny piping on a pocket or match a border?
It is very easy to forget the number of hands that touch each and every piece that is made and I love bringing this connection back to you and highlighting the love and care that goes into each and every piece.
Sustainable Practices
We prioritise eco-friendly methods, using organic materials and eco inks in our production process. This not only supports the environment but also ensures fair wages and safe working conditions for our artisans. Our Artisans have a sister company that manufactures and supplies all of the dyes to many of the block printers in Jaipur. Arpit is particularly geeky about the organic AZO free dyes and the quality of the fabrics which we use in our designs and we are super focused on offering you as pure a product as we can.

Our relationship with these skilled craftsmen and the design team goes beyond business; it’s a partnership built on mutual respect and shared values. By supporting family-run businesses, we contribute to the local economy and preserve traditional crafts for future generations.
Visiting Jaipur reaffirmed our commitment to sustainable manufacturing and designing and highlighted the incredible talent of our artisan community. Together, we continue to create beautiful, ethically-made products that honour both people and planet.
