5 tips for cosy winter layering this season
Our new collection of sustainable knitwear, in collaboration with Crumpet, was co-designed by founders, Vickie and Zara to layer over and under our block print dresses and separates - to give you some styling tips on how to layer your knits this winter for cosy, tonal looks we've shared our favourite ways to wear the new collection...
Under our quilted jackets
Our bold, block print jackets are 'outfit makers'. The beautiful, rich berry tones in intricate block prints need little styling. Pair with wide-leg trousers or denim and pop one of our 100% cashmere Rocky rollnecks underneath. Available in a flattering celestial blue and a deep, autumn cassis to tonally match our Fran and Asha jackets.
Over our shirts and blouses
We are passionate about 'seasonless' dressing and extending the wear of your Dilli Grey buys through all the seasons - popping the Vickie cable tank over any of our organic cotton shirts or blouses will immediately give you months extra wear from them. The tank has been designed with a generous armhole to allow for our signature blouson sleeve and the scoop neck is perfect for showing off a ruffle collar.
Under (and over!) our dresses
The first spark of inspiration when designing the collection was our block print dresses. Made with organic cotton, we wanted to create those clever wardrobe staple knits that would pair effortlessly with our dresses to add that extra 'cosy factor' in winter months. We have two pieces that are perfect for this - our 100% cashmere Rocky rollneck for slipping under our dresses, and our Vickie cable tank for popping over. The rollneck is a beautifully fine gauge, so will add breathable warmth, without bulk - while the Vickie tank is a great mid-layer alternative to a cardigan that still allows the statement print of the dress to shine through.
Knit on knit!
Finally, don't be afraid to layer your knits! Play with tonal shades, contrasting weights and textures to build up a winter outfit. Choosing natural, breathable yarns such as the sustainably sourced cashmere and wool in our knitwear collection will ensure you never overheat, yet stay snuggly warm - whatever the winter weather throws at you!
