Process

We are super proud of the transparent, ethical fashion model that Dilli Grey is built upon. We work directly with family-run block print houses and co-operatives to create our designs using centuries old, heritage textile techniques including chikankari embroidery and hand-block printing.

Each season we capture the production of some of our key designs so our customers can see the beautiful, slow fashion process of making each of our pieces. We are passionate about educating our customers to see the workmanship and talent that has gone into making their clothes so they are seen not as a commodity, but a piece of textile art to treasure.

Our block-printing is done on GOTS-certified organic cotton and using gentle, eco friendly dyes that are safe for our printers to use and also don't leach harmful chemicals into the local waterways. Washing and drying of the fabric is done without machinery to keep our carbon footprint small.
